He didn’t have a grudge against anyone at work, but for some reason he violated company policy by bringing a .45-caliber gun into the workplace. The violation came to light after the gun accidentally discharged in a work cubicle, leaving its owner with gunshot wounds to both his legs and a bookcase with a bullet hole.
The gun had been placed in a jacket pocket, with the jacket draped over a chair. When the man sat in the chair, the weapon fired.
The 47-year-old victim faced a third problem. He didn’t have a license for a concealed weapon. The incident took place at an insurance company office in Lake Worth, TX.
