Flight Attendant Forces Emergency Landing

Flight Attendant Forces Emergency Landing
Many of us have encountered a flight attendant with an attitude, but 72 passengers on board a flight from Minneapolis, MN, to Regina, SK, endured a flight they won’t soon forget as a result of the antics of an angry airline employee.

News reports say the attendant, who was only 19 years old, set fire to paper towels in the bathroom of a jet because he was miffed at being forced to work that route. The back of the plane filled with smoke and the aircraft made an emergency landing in Fargo, ND.

Flight attendant Eder Rojas was charged with setting fire aboard a civil aircraft. The maximum jail term for a conviction is 20 years. Not surprisingly, he is reported to have lost his job.

Psychiatric evaluation needed for this job especially at that age

This happened in 2008 – the flight attendant was ultimately sentenced to 6 years in prison, 3 years probation (and job was lost, of course!) It must have been terrifying for passengers.
