Many employees who work at Irvine Lanes have had no prior exposure to safety training. They needed a safety training program that was both easy to understand and engaging. Because safety training is handled by the general manager who has many other responsibilities, they needed a program that was quick and easy to use.
The Solution
SafetySmart courseware provides General Manager Stephanie Maurer with a quick and easy platform to put together her safety talks. “I needed ideas and presentations for safety meetings without having to spend hours doing it. I also needed information that was easy to digest for our less experienced employees,” says Maurer. The SafetySmart program provides information on a wide range of safety topics in an easily searchable format that allowed Maurer to put together insightful and engaging safety talks in minutes rather than hours.
The Results
Once employees got used to the format of the new safety meetings, they gave the SafetySmart program a thumbs up, as evidenced by their participation rate. “Most like the quality of the presentations,” said Mrs. Maurer. “They enjoy it because they know it’s valuable training, and they find the videos especially interesting.”
